The much-awaited magnum opus of Megastar Chiranjeevi “Sye Raa” has finally hit the silver screens today. The big moment which we all were waiting for is finally here. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s dream project, Sye Raa has finally hit the theaters after a superb pre-release hype. Let’s see whether the film lives up to all the hype or not.
Majjari Narasimha Reddy (Chiranjeevi) is a Palegar (Territorial administrative and military governors) for an area (Renadu) in Rayala Seema (Andhra Pradesh). He is against the British rule and revolts against the agrarian tax system. After a heart wrenching atrocity committed by a British Ruler, Narasimha Reddy starts a Rebel Movement for Self Rule. How he unites other Palegars to fight forms the rest.
Mega Star Chiranjeevi delivers an awe inspiring performance. He leaves the audience with a stunning Climax act and the hard work is there for everybody to witness. Amitabh Bachchan plays a key role. Tamannah gets a meaty role and Nayanthara is adequate. Jagapathi Babu, Sudeep and Vijay Sethupathi add star power. Coming to Technicalities Production values are top notch and main asset of the movie is ratnavelu's Direction of Photography his visuals are just brilliant and music by Amit Trivedi is good and one song is highlight in this songs rest are ok and VFX is good and action scenes are good and direction by Surendar reddy is good the way he handled the great freedom fighter narasimhareddy story is good the way of handling the emotions is quite impressive.
Coming to the Conclusion, Sye Raa` is an Awe Inspiring Historical Drama with plenty of action episodes and convincing emotions. The film`s 1st half is decent with a good pre-interval episode. 2nd half is especially great with the Climax leaving a stunning impact. Although this follows a routine template of patriotic dramas, it has been narrated well, taking a lot of Cinematic liberty and the High intense conflicts and war episodes make it a Good Experience. Well noted Star Cast add value and Cinematography is excellent with Visual Grandeur being a major plus.
